Job Purpose:

You will develop and manage in this role strategies for Environmental, Health, and Safety Department, Facilities Infrastructure/Maintenance, Utilities, and ISO, in line with Inchcape requirements.

Oversees and coordinates the Health and Safety Programs for all our Operations in Belgium.

Roll-out safety and environmental KPIs, site security, building, grounds, and building equipment.

Focus on the following aspects that form the basis of the structure for a safety and health policy:

1) DYRIB audit (Dynamic Risk Management System)

2) Risk analyses at organisational, functional and individual level

3) Overall prevention plan

4) Annual action plan

5) Documentation via Cintellate & HSE database management

Responsible for the full legal management of environmental obligations.

You will hold the position of prevention advisor and will assist the employer with the application of the legal and regulatory provisions regarding the well-being of the employees in the performance of their work.



Translating the organisation's overall strategy into a concrete HSE policy in order to contribute to the concrete realisation of the objectives, in line with Inchcape HSE requirements.


Responsible for drawing up procedures and guidelines in the field of health and safety in order to guarantee a good policy consistent with the legislative directives.


Follow-up of the HSE & facility budget, making proposals for both the short and long term. Drawing up and managing the GPP & Annual Action Plan.


Ensure the practical follow-up of the problem areas that are associated with safety/health/environment in the organisation in order to ensure a policy that is in line with the predefined objectives.


Chairing and attending the meetings related to safety and health in order to create and implement a good safety image:

Provide procedures and policies for safety requirements


Responsible for facility wide security, grounds, housekeeping, and facility maintenance programs.


Coordinating, organising and executing the different activities of the Health and Safety department according to the priorities and competencies, and the needs of the target groups either internally or externally in order to provide an efficient and effective service that meets the quality requirements of the organisation within the set time limits.


Initiating programmes/projects in order to comply with legal standards on safety/health/environment/facilities.


Organising training sessions on safety risks and facility projects for the benefit of staff in order to keep them optimally informed.


Coordinate and follow-up Cintellate HSE database requirements.


Keeping himself/herself constantly informed of developments in the field of Safety, Health and Environment and facilities, keeping his/her knowledge up to date with new developments in order to strengthen his/her credibility by offering a service that is continuously based on updated knowledge.


Responsible for ISO14001 Certification.


Assist the employer with the application of the legal and regulatory provisions regarding the well-being of the employees in the performance of their work, in the role as prevention-advisor.


Develop good relationships with all on site operations & management for above assignments.


  • Bachelor’s degree required in an Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, etc.)
  • 2-5 Years Environment & Safety Experience Required
  • 3-5 Years Facility Maintenance Experience Required
  • Certification as Prevention Advisor - training can be offered by our organisation
  • Project Management, trades and contractors experience
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience in preparing financial operational budgets
  • Preferable experience working health and safety management experience and system auditing experience
  • Prior experience working for an international company with a multicultural team preferred
  • Organizational skills
