Functie

Lead search and performance optimisation for Toyota and Lexus across 5 diverse European markets.

As a leading global automotive distributor Inchcape is focused on digital transformation in many key areas and markets around the world. Our Toyota and Lexus partnerships in Europe are our main priority and we want to build a team starting with the introduction of an experienced Search Lead who wants to lead a team and be part of a new highly collaborative Inchcape Europe Digital Community.

This digital leadership role will co-ordinate and drive our search strategy, optimise and improve its performance, support broader marketing campaigns and digital developments with SEO ‘designed in’ from the start. You will work closely with Web Owners in each market and each brand, constantly optimising performance, contributing insight into targeting, developing analytics capability as well as customer behavioural insights and content roadmap.

You will be accountable for agreed Search budgets within each business unit.

You will take a holistic, data driven approach to search, balancing organic (SEO) and Paid search (SEM) programs to deliver on our lead goals for each country whilst ensuring the search budget is spent most efficiently.

Managing the keyword research, strategy, on site and off- site optimisation focussed on traffic KPIs and conversion drivers while supporting brand objectives and share of voice.

You will be managing incumbent agency relationships with your web owners and driving agency accountability including appointing new and consolidating existing capabilities to improve performance and budget efficiencies.

You will enjoy and have experience working in a matrix structure, be good at working with your team , influencing decision making and giving new visibility to digital performance and capabilities to generate leads and grow sales.

You will report to the Director of Marketing and Customer experience.

Job role and responsibilities:
  • Developing and implementing plans to ensure successful delivery of traffic, lead and marketable customer goals.
  • Creating and leading a search community across borders in a matrix organisation that is aligned to key KPIs and driven by constant optimisation opportunity.
  • Conducting Keyword Research and website structure to define the opportunities and priorities for each market/brand region.
  • Managing SEM budget and ensuring spend and CPA is optimised for maximum effect.
  • Managing search agencies selection/consolidation as required for quality delivery and efficiency as well as tactical objective setting for performance and ROI.
  • Work closely with Web Owners in each market as the key answerable resources who are within local Marketing and Digital teams to define content, KPI and web technical development roadmap that SEO research and performance form an integral part of the design process.

Profiel

  • Considerable SEO Experience
  • Strong communication and influencing at all levels, demonstrating deep subject matter expertise balanced with pragmatic understanding of business needs/priorities
  • Experience working in online retail business (where SEO and data insight is ‘business as usual’)
  • Experience of working across multiple geographies, with proven ability to adjust working approach for local, cultural alignment
  • Comfortable with data and driving insight from it
  • Proven SEM experience in managing PPC campaigns
  • Hands on experience in using SEO tools (preferably Brightedge)
  • In-depth experience with website analytics tools (e.g Google Analytics)
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the international matrix structure and across different cultures
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript development and constraints
  • Skilled in solution generation – with a positive ‘can do’ attitude and approach to overcoming obstacles



Education/Experience:

  • A Master degree
  • Min 5-7 years work experience minimum, out of which:
    • Min 3 years of experience leader in a digital context including managing a website and a digital team
    • Min 2 years of experience in Customer experience, Customer Journey definition, improvement etc
