IT Project Manager

We are currently looking for an IT Project Manager who will be working within the European IT team on a freelance (6 months) basis or permanent.

This person will be based in Zaventem and will be reporting to the Head of European IT Projects & Strategy.

Are you the communicative IT Project manager we are looking for at Inchcape that can operate well in a dynamic, fast paced culture?


  • Engage, fully support and project manage the primary business initiatives for our Retail businesses to support accelerated transformation and work closely with Project stakeholders and cross functional teams to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, project plans, budgets, and timings for the projects.
  • Develop Project Plans and identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and resources.
  • Project tracking with regular meeting/calls to capture all actions, risks, issues and form a backlog of activity and ensure project team receive up to date and on time information on business objectives, performance, project deliverables, milestones, processes, keeping the project documentation up to date.
  • Project stakeholder management and reporting to ensure all communications are defined and delivered in timely fashion. In this you manage the relationship with IT solutions vendors, partners or experts for new Projects services delivery support, track the deadlines and solve the problems raised during the development, delivery or rollout phases, data cleaning, migrations and cut-over activities, project pre-launch preparations, testing phases and user trainings, post implementation support activities, tracking the costs and resources involved.
  • Change control for project scope amendments and adherence to all aspects of defined project governance framework and delivery methodology.


  • You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT or Computer Science, Business Administration or Industrial Engineering, along with advanced technical and managerial credentials.
  • You have a minimum of 5 years of progressive IT experience, including experience in a multi-office environment, experience in managing enterprise level projects, e.g. SAP or Oracle, Incadea or Automaster or other mature DMS/ERP.
  • You have a strong Global IT Finance Systems Project Management experience.
  • You have a proven track record in the change management of implementing successful ERP/CRM/DMS/Portal’s systems and integration of bespoke applications to meet business operational necessities.
  • You have experience in Stakeholder Management, Change Management, Reporting and Governance.
  • You can work within a complex matrixed organisation.
  • You are a creative thinker and are able to generate new ideas and proposals.
  • You communicate in Dutch, French and English.
  • You have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
